Bonfire Solo Stove

As a snowy COVID-19 socially distanced winter approached, the Solo Stove may have been one of the things my kids most looked forward to. I mean, what could be better than roasting S’mores outdoors on a snowy deck with friends? Well kids aren’t the only ones in the family sure to like this line of products.
Mom doesn’t care for the smoke of a fire. But she does get cold. This highly efficient fire pit minimizes smoke, while maximizing heat. It is the perfect way to enjoy a fire and the stars above on a cold, snowy evening. Without going to bed with hair smelling like smoke.
The bonus is that these fire pits are very portable. We opted for the popular Bonfire as it is also a good size for our deck. But they offer smaller camping sizes. Accessories include a tripod to hang a pot, and pots to make dinner, or warm hot cocoa. There are also grills and grill accessories, that dad is sure to love. Solo Stoves also make our list of best gifts for camping lovers.
Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)

This summer our family discovered paddle boarding. My daughter had been out on a SUP several times. I hadn’t. But got a wild hair and asked for one for my birthday. That day we took it out to Sylvan Lake, just a few miles from my home. We were all hooked.
The SUP that I got was a Body Glove inflatable stand up paddle board with carrying bag, paddle and pump. It is easy enough for me to handle all on my own. And, durable. This SUP has been out on several calm Colorado lakes, less calm Texas lakes, but also down rapids on the San Juan River in Utah. It has quite a few miles on it but is in great condition.
My daughter actually seems to think that this SUP is hers and I often get relegated to the duckie with my son. I am proud of how she took on rapids on the SUP and don’t mind one bit.
This really has to be one of the best gifts for the outdoors woman!
Insider Tip: If you have a dog who might like to be a SUP partner with you, be sure to get them a dog life jacket! One with a handle on the top is key for being able to pull your pup out of the water, if needed.
Electric Bike
This big ticket item may be the most fun gift idea on the list. For anyone who likes mountain biking, having the power to go further into nature is going to be a real treat. There are several lines out there but a QuietKat tops my wishlist.
QuietKat bikes are all electric mountain bikes that are environmentally friendly. They are powered by Lithium-ion batteries for a green, non-polluting, and silent operation that allows you to motor through any landscape without disturbing the natural environment. And, they are based in my hometown of Eagle, Colorado. There’s nothing better than supporting small, local business while buying a bucket list gift for a loved one!
The Five Minute Journal

This is truly a great gift for anyone. But we’ve included it on our list of best gifts for the outdoors woman because I find that the things I articulate being grateful for in it are very often related to the outdoors. Nespresso Machine
Well you may not think of a fancy coffee machine as an ideal gift for an the outdoors woman, but the compact size of the smaller machines makes these great for camping. I have brought my Nespresso Machine along when RVing, but also when tent camping. I just had to locate an electric plug which I found in a bathroom. There’s nothing like hot espresso ready in 30 seconds on a cold morning camping. Watch the steam coming off of your cup while it warms your hands. Again, those extremities are important to us women.
Camping Hammock
While a fancy camping chair with a side table for food and drink is my husband’s go to place to relax when camping, I have always wanted a hammock. If I am not out on the water paddle boarding or hiking a trail then I want to be relaxing with a book.
