About a 15-minute drive north of Steamboat Springs, Strawberry Park Hot Springs is a beautiful resort that’s nestled down in a mountainous valley. There are 5 hot spring pools that have sandy bottoms that you’ll stumble upon there located beside Hot Springs Creek. While the water temperature at the main source is right around a scorching 147 degrees Fahrenheit, the cool streams make the soaking temperatures a comfortable 101 to 106 degrees Fahrenheit.

There are cabins that you can stay in at the resort. Also there are exhilarating activities such as skiing that visitors also enjoy. During the night, it’s adults only in their hot springs. Reservations are required for the hot springs. You can book your visit up to a month in advance.

Old Town Hot Springs

These fabulous hot springs have been around for a long time, bringing in visitors from all over since the 1880s. And long before that, the Native Americans also soaked in these thermal waters. Old Town Hot Springs has 8 geothermal areas, including four hot pools, a kid pool, a lap pool, and the Heart Spring. The springs provide a family-friendly atmosphere but keep in mind that the Heart Spring is only for ages 15 and up. There’s an on-site massage therapy that’s available by booking, while your kids are sure to love the two 230-foot waterslides and their aquatic climbing wall.

Settled on the banks of Fish Creek, Old Town Hot Springs offers an all-day pass for a very affordable price of $15 for adults and just $7.50 for kids ages 5 to 12. And if you’re visiting in the winter season, there’s even a hot tub that’s kept at a toasty 102 degrees Fahrenheit!

Located just across from the Old Town Hot Springs, the Hippie Hot Springs is an outflow of heated water from the nearby resort. Although it’s free and open to the public, not too many people take advantage of this hidden gem. The thermal waters remain right around 100 degrees Fahrenheit year-round and are very relaxing to take a dip in. One outdoor activity that’s particularly popular nearby is tubing down the river and then followed up by soaking in these natural springs.

Hot Sulphur Springs Resort

The 22 hot pools there are naturally heated by thermal waters that come straight from underneath the surface at 110 to 112 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition to soaking in these therapeutic waters, visitors also enjoy wellness services and treatments such as massages and body scrubs at the spa. These thermal springs are located about 69 miles outside of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Wolf Mountain Hot Springs

Looking to get away from it all? Well then, Wolf Mountain Hot Springs could be the perfect destination for your next family vacation! Located about 35 miles southeast of Steamboat Springs, this hidden treasure is situated in a secluded basin surrounded by pine trees. There are three soaking pools located there. Each with its own unique temperatures: one pool stays between 88 and 98 degrees Fahrenheit, one is between 102 and 108 degrees Fahrenheit, and the last has a temperature that’s right around 112 degrees Fahrenheit.

Located in Kremmling, this geothermal 20 by 6-foot pool can be found on the banks of the Colorado River. The summer and fall seasons are arguably the best times to visit. Swimming, tubing, rafting, and kayaking are all popular activities to enjoy in the area. You’ll also find camping opportunities and picnic tables that are close by.
