What girl doesn’t love Taylor Swift? I mean, even a few of us moms do too. But 2018 was the last time that Taylor Swift went on tour. The internet was in a tizzy today with the news that she will be going on tour again in 2023.
In 2018 I wasn’t even sure if taking my daughter to a Taylor Swift concert was a good idea. And, I had no idea of what the process would look like. But I do now.
I have since continued to follow her on Twitter, which is where my first notification came in early Tuesday morning about the newly announced Taylor Swift The Eras Tour.
Why is there a Verification and Presale Process for Taylor Swift’s Tour?
In 2018, Taylor Swift came up with this presale process to try to ensure that true fans had first shot at tickets. Rather than scalpers snapping them up and reselling. That process had ways to boost your place in line. You could do things like watch videos or buy merch. No telling yet if that will be in play again.
How to Register for the Verification and Presale for Taylor Swift The Eras Tour
You will want to register for Verified Fan presale with Ticketmaster. As did everyone else and their dog. I would assume that the virtual line would shrink as time goes on. But on opening day it was a couple of hours long. You can register up until November 9, 2022.
Once registered you’ll receive an email outlining the next steps:
“On the evening of Monday, November 14, you’ll receive an email confirming whether you’ve been verified and whether you’ve also been selected to participate in the presale. If you are verified and selected, you will also receive a text to the number used at registration with your personal access code. The TaylorSwiftTix Presale begins on Tuesday, November 15 @ 10AM local venue time. There is a six (6) ticket limit per event.”

This indicates that not everyone may be verified and selected. So what then?
Presale Tickets Through Capital One
This time there’s one additional way to get into the presale process. Capital One is a sponsor. And, they are offering their card holders a presale purchase opportunity.
If you are like us and like to use points and miles for travel, then you may hold a Capital One Venture X, or other Capital One card.
Capital One cardholders will want to mark their calendars for 11/15 at 2:00 P.M. local venue time. This is when they will go to this page to purchase tickets with their Capital One card. Cardholders will need the first 6 digits of their Capital One card number to gain entry to the Capital One Cardholder Presale. They will need to make the purchase using their Capital One credit card.
These tickets will be available until sold out, or November 17, 2022 at 10 p.m. local time of the venue.
No matter what it pays to go through the process and purchase tickets early for a Taylor Swift tour.
