Pet Friendly Hotels

In honor of National Pet Day 2016 we are sharing our favorite pet-friendly hotels. Since our pets are members of our families and sometimes we want them to be able to join us on vacation or need them to travel with us it is important to know of hotels that go out of their way to welcome our furry family members.

Here are just a few of our favorite pet friendly hotels:

Whether taking an adventurous vacation or just making your way across the country you will want to know what pet friendly hotels are available along the way.

Antlers at Vail is a pet-friendly condominium hotel located in Vail, Colorado that welcomes pets in approximately 20% of their condominiums. You will need to request a pet-friendly condo at your time of booking. The spacious condos make all members of your family feel at home. With dog treats at check in and pet beds available on request and a location right on the bike path and river your pet will thank you for bringing them along on a Rocky Mountain getaway.

Kimpton Hotels across the country welcome your furry family members with Directors of Pet Relations on hand at select locations to welcome your pet. They provide a selection of hotel amenities and extras including plush pet-bed loaners in your guest room, food, water bowls and mats.

Almost all La Quinta properties are pet friendly. They allow up to 2 dogs or cats at no additional charge. While the hotel does not require a deposit, there are some simple rules you‘ll need to follow during your stay.

Loews has their own Loews Loves Pets program: Upon check-in, every dog or cat receives welcome gifts including a name tag, bowl, and special treats. A “pet in room” sign helps you relax and lets our housekeeping staff know that your furry one is in residence. To help lighten your travel load, Loews can loan you pet beds, litter boxes, litter, scoopers, scratching posts, and other pet accessories. They even offer gourmet room service pet menus developed by in-house chefs in conjunction with a licensed veterinarian. Pet fees vary by property so check in advance.

Red Roof Inn, where pets stay free, and Best Western, with low pet fees, are both fantastic pet friendly hotel options when traveling with your dog.

Please check with each of these properties prior to booking to ensure that their policies haven’t changed, and just so that they will know to expect and be ready to welcome your furry family member.

Liana Moore

Liana Moore is a third-culture kid with a hangover from those days that is a severe case of wanderlust. She is more comfortable driving the cliffs of Amalfi, Italy or the dirt roads of Costa Rica or attempting to decipher the street signs of Osaka, Japan than navigating the theme parks of Disney World. But she loves it all. She doesn't believe a vacation is complete without an adventure. Her husband and kids know well that "adventure" often is code for mishap or challenge and it usually results in a good story. They seek outdoor experiences whether in the mountains, on a beach or in the jungle of a tropical country. Her favorite vacation is... all the ones she hasn't yet taken, as well as those she plans on taking again. And, that list is so, so long. But she continues to extensively explore her home state of Colorado, spends lots of time wandering Texas, California, New Mexico, Costa Rica, Mexico, Norway and has even explored Kazakhstan.
