Moe's Original BBQ is Alabama style BBQ restaurant.
Moe’s Original Bar B Que was founded by three Alabama boys: Ben Gilbert from Athens, Mike Fernandez from Tuscaloosa, and Jeff Kennedy from Huntsville. After meeting at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, they instantly became friends and had a mutual interest in all things Southern: BBQ, blues, college football, and whisky. This was the first year round Moe's Original restaurant in the Vail area. After completing a five year lease at the original Eagle location and enjoying the hometown feel, Moe’s Original BBQ decided to move to Highway 6 to create a neighborhood roadhouse on the West side. Redeveloping an old gas station into the new prototype restaurant model and taking all ideas from the past restaurants, this became the perfect Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que. While it is comfortable, loud, and fun, the welcoming establishment is a very family friendly gathering spot with community table, kids’ area as well as a grassy lawn with big climbing tree. This spot caters to the locals with a laid-back atmosphere, full premium bar and tasty food at affordable pricing. This has proven to be a smart move and will continue to be the training grounds and home base for Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que global takeover
